This is My Job
I mainly handle the reception, inspection, and return of vehicles for customers coming in for regular inspections. Since I joined without experience in car maintenance, I didn’t know anything at first, and the tasks were difficult and very challenging. Since joining, I’ve been taught by my seniors about car maintenance, and now I’m applying what I’ve learned step by step. One of the biggest challenges I face is that while my seniors can remove tires in 4–5 seconds, it takes me around 10 seconds to do the same. I want to continue practicing to improve my speed and be able to remove tires more quickly. I still have a lot to learn, but I want to keep working hard to become a fully-fledged mechanic.
Why I Chose D-Plus
When I saw the president's video on the website, I was moved by the company's philosophy of valuing both employees and customers. It's rare to find a company that emphasizes both in its management philosophy. Most companies focus on either "employees" or "customers," but I felt that at D-Plus, I could challenge myself for my own happiness while also helping bring happiness to customers, which is why I decided to join. When I think about my own happiness, I realize that my strong desire to work in maintenance aligns with the company’s philosophy, and I feel that this is the right place for me, even though I’ve just started. I plan to continue working on my career in car maintenance to challenge myself and achieve my happiness.
The Most Rewarding Moment
Since I joined with no experience in maintenance, there are still many things I don’t know or can’t do. However, it has been incredibly rewarding to see myself gradually taking on more tasks and becoming entrusted with more responsibilities, even with help from my seniors. At first, I didn’t think I’d be trusted with any maintenance tasks, but after joining, I’ve been able to take on some of the tasks I always wanted to do. Recently, I’ve even been given the opportunity to talk with customers, so I’m confident that I will continue to grow and develop.
Advice for Newcomers
I think it's a good idea to learn proper language etiquette and phone handling from the start, especially when dealing with customers and seniors. You might not use these skills until you start your job, but it’s never too late to learn. After joining, the first opportunity you’ll have to interact with customers as a company member is through phone calls. So, if you’re a new graduate, practicing phone calls during your part-time job can help you handle them more smoothly when you start working. Language skills are also observed during interviews, so I encourage you to practice and use them to your advantage to secure a job offer. I’d be thrilled to work with you! I’m cheering for you!
